Students around the world now have access to more affordable flight options with Lufthansa Group Airlines, which include Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, SWISS, and Brussels Airlines. The student fare program has been expanded to cover departures from Germany, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, and all other countries where it was not previously available.

This initiative offers students special benefits for semesters abroad or travel between their home and host countries. Included in the offer are up to two free pieces of luggage weighing 23 kilograms each. Students also benefit from reduced flight prices, free rebooking options, and the possibility of refunds.

The student fare applies to intercontinental one-way and round-trip tickets but excludes travel to and from Japan, Canada, and the USA. Bookings can be made through the airlines’ official websites. To use this fare, students must verify their Travel-ID via Sheer ID by providing proof of university enrollment.

According to Lufthansa Group Airlines: "With its student fare, the Lufthansa Group is setting an example in supporting academic mobility and international exchange."

Lufthansa Group recommends that travelers install the airlines' app and create a Travel-ID profile. This digital profile simplifies travel by integrating documents and storing personal data for current and future bookings. Additional services will be introduced over time. Travelers with a Travel-ID receive personalized information and suggested solutions. Currently, more than 15 million customers have created a digital profile within the Lufthansa Group.
