Turkish Airlines has agreed to purchase up to 75 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, marking the largest widebody order in the airline's history with Boeing. The deal includes 50 firm orders and options for an additional 25 aircraft. This move is part of Turkish Airlines' broader strategy to expand its fleet and network.
The agreement reflects Turkish Airlines' plans for growth as it seeks to increase its international presence and modernize its long-haul operations.
"This order represents a significant milestone for both Turkish Airlines and Boeing," said a spokesperson from the company. "It demonstrates our commitment to providing our passengers with state-of-the-art comfort while supporting our expansion goals."
