Delta Air Lines has been recognized by Forbes as one of the top employers worldwide, securing the No. 2 spot on the Forbes World’s Best Employers 2025 list. This marks a four-place improvement from the previous year for the airline.

Forbes highlighted Delta’s approach to fostering a positive work environment, emphasizing the company’s “open-door policy,” which allows employees to communicate directly with leadership either by email or in person. Additionally, each corporate market has a senior leader assigned to regularly visit employees, share business updates, and answer questions.

This ongoing communication and regular employee engagement surveys have enabled Delta to address employee needs. For instance, the company launched an initiative based on employee feedback, which has seen participation from more than 40,000 employees. In response to requests for greater flexibility, Delta also adjusted its employee pass travel privileges to allow for an additional travel companion.

Forbes also named Delta among the top American employers, ranking it No. 1 in Georgia, Michigan, and Utah.

“Forbes spotlighted Delta in announcing this year’s results, highlighting the ways the airline listens and responds to employees to create a more positive work environment.”

To compile the World’s Best Employers 2025 list, Forbes partnered with a market research firm to survey over 300,000 employees in more than 50 countries. The survey focused on multinational corporations with over 1,000 employees operating in at least two of six global regions. Participants rated their companies on salary, talent development, remote work options, and whether they would recommend their employer to others. The scoring system placed greater weight on current employee responses and recent data. This year, a total of 850 companies from 48 countries were recognized.
