British Airways has opened a new 13,000-square-foot lounge at Miami International Airport (MIA), marking the debut of its latest global lounge concept. The facility, located near Gate E20 above the airline’s gate, is designed to serve British Airways passengers and Oneworld alliance elite members traveling on international flights.
The lounge offers several amenities, including a full-service bar, a sit-down restaurant exclusive to first-class passengers, and multiple areas for work and relaxation. The design incorporates art deco elements that reflect both London and South Florida influences. "I hope you will see the Britishness come through. But I also hope you will feel Miami," said Calum Laming, Chief Customer Officer at British Airways.
Eligible visitors include British Airways Club World (business-class) or first-class customers, Oneworld frequent flyers in comparable cabins on alliance carriers, and British Airways Club members with Silver status or higher flying on eligible flights. American Airlines AAdvantage elite members with Platinum status or above can access the lounge when traveling internationally from Miami but not on domestic flights. Similarly, Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards Gold members or higher may enter with an eligible same-day Oneworld ticket.
