Uber Taxi riders in Hong Kong can now earn Asia Miles on their journeys, following a new partnership between Uber Taxi and Cathay. The collaboration allows passengers to accumulate rewards for both daily commutes and airport trips.

Under the program, customers will receive 20 Asia Miles for every Uber Taxi ride within Hong Kong and 40 Asia Miles for rides to or from the airport. New users of the Uber App are eligible for a welcome bonus of 500 extra Asia Miles after completing their first Uber Taxi trip.

Flora Hui, General Manager Asia Miles at Cathay, said: “This collaboration gives our members even more ways to earn Asia Miles in their everyday lives. Whether it’s a quick ride across town or a journey to/from the airport, Uber Taxi trips now help our members get closer to their next adventure with added convenience and rewards.”

The companies indicated that additional bonus miles and limited-time offers may be introduced during the partnership period.

Cathay is known as a premium travel lifestyle brand based in Hong Kong. Its services include flights operated by Cathay Pacific—Hong Kong's flagship airline—as well as holiday packages, shopping, dining experiences, wellness options and payment solutions. The company is part of the Swire Group and is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
