ITA Airways has announced via the social media platform X that it will extend the suspension of all flights to and from Tel Aviv through December 31, 2025. This suspension includes flights AZ809 and AZ815 scheduled for January 1, 2026. Passengers affected by this decision are eligible for rebooking or refunds.

According to Reuters, ITA Airways' decision follows ongoing regional instability affecting commercial aviation safety across Israel and neighboring airspaces. The airline's move aligns with multiple global carriers that have halted operations in the area pending clearer security conditions. The extension highlights ITA Airways' commitment to prioritizing safety while maintaining flexible passenger rebooking and refund policies.

Reuters further reports that the suspended routes include flights AZ809 and AZ815, initially scheduled to resume on January 1, 2026. Affected customers can request full refunds or opt to rebook their flights once service resumes, in accordance with European Union passenger rights regulations. ITA Airways has implemented similar policies during previous suspensions, ensuring transparent compensation procedures for affected travelers.
