Many travelers find long-haul flights in economy class uncomfortable, with limited space and amenities. However, several airlines are working to improve the experience by redesigning their cabins and adding features that enhance comfort for passengers.

Turkish Airlines has expanded its network to over 120 countries and offers a full-service economy cabin. Passengers benefit from complimentary meals, drinks, and a generous baggage allowance of 30 kilograms on long-haul flights. The airline’s newer Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A350 aircraft provide seats with a pitch between 30–32 inches, more legroom, USB chargers, and amenity kits that include an eye mask, socks, toothpaste, and toothbrush. Turkish Airlines was named 'Best Airline in Europe' for the tenth time by the SKYTRAX World Airline Awards in 2025. It also received awards for 'Best Business Class Catering' and 'Best Economy Class in Europe'.

Hainan Airlines is one of China’s largest carriers by fleet size and operates flights to 51 destinations across 28 countries. Its Boeing 787 Dreamliners feature a redesigned economy cabin called the 'Bookshelf,' which offers more legroom and overhead storage. Amenities include seatback screens for entertainment, complimentary meals and drinks, as well as amenity kits with an eye mask and slippers.
