Lost luggage remains a common concern for travelers, but a new product aims to address this issue directly. The Melbourne-based luggage company July has released the CaseSafe suitcase, described as the world’s first trackable suitcase with integrated technology.

Developed in consultation with Google and Apple, the CaseSafe is designed to offer a streamlined solution to tracking lost bags. According to July co-founder Athan Didaskalou, "We've always been focused on anticipating needs and developing solutions that set new benchmarks for the industry. CaseSafe is no exception to that. Every traveler knows that sinking feeling when your bag doesn't arrive on the carousel. And we saw an entire industry offering band-aid solutions — clunky tags and separate devices that you often forget amidst your packing. CaseSafe represents a fundamental shift. It's the first time tracking technology is integrated completely into the luggage itself. No compromises and no extra steps. This is the moment where design and technology finally work as one to solve real travel anxiety."

The main feature of CaseSafe is its battery-operated lock, which serves as the hub for its tracking technology. The system works with both Apple’s Find My app and Google’s Find Hub network, allowing travelers to monitor their bags directly from their smartphones.

TPG founder Brian Kelly tested the product himself, noting how quickly he was able to activate its features: "July makes it simple. It tracks the same, if not better, than an AirTag in my opinion." He added that "For a go-to checked bag, [CaseSafe] is high-quality, easy to roll, durable, fits a lot and the tracking technology is very simple to use."

The suitcase ranges in price from $325 to $395 and comes in both carry-on and checked sizes with several color options. Features include SilentMove 360-degree spinner double wheels and an aerospace-grade polycarbonate shell.

More information about purchasing CaseSafe luggage can be found on July’s official website.
