Emirates has announced changes to its London Gatwick operations for the upcoming summer season, increasing the number of daily Airbus A380 flights from one to two. This adjustment comes after the airline previously operated three daily A380 flights in 2025, representing a partial restoration of capacity on the route.
The revised schedule will see Emirates operating four daily flights between Dubai and Gatwick starting in early February 2026. As a result, Emirates’ total daily passenger departures from London will reach a record 13 this winter.
According to Emirates’ updated plans, beginning March 29, 2026, the airline will maintain four daily services to Gatwick. Two of these flights will be operated by the high-capacity, two-class Airbus A380, which seats 615 passengers—58 in business class and 557 in economy. This aircraft replaces the first-class-equipped Boeing 777-300ER that had 354 seats. The change increases Emirates’ daily round-trip seat offering at Gatwick to 3,730, which is a 17% rise over previous projections.
