Delta TechOps has expanded its operations in Europe by entering into a long-term component care agreement with Jet2.com. Under this new contract, Delta TechOps will provide mechanical and avionics component services for Jet2.com’s aircraft fleets.

The partnership builds on an existing relationship that began in 2023, when Delta TechOps first offered component maintenance support to Jet2.com. According to Basil Papayoti, vice president of Commercial at Delta TechOps, “This agreement highlights the strength of our component care expertise and the trust that Delta TechOps has earned across Europe. With decades of experience supporting different fleets, Delta brings deep technical knowledge to the Jet2.com partnership.” He added, “We’re proud to support Jet2.com as its fleet and operations continue to grow. Our team is focused on delivering the kind of dependable maintenance and technical expertise that helps keep the Jet2.com aircraft flying safely and efficiently.”

The announcement was made during MRO Europe, a major aviation maintenance event held from October 14–16 in London. The event gathered industry leaders, suppliers, and experts to discuss innovations and future trends in aircraft support across Europe.

During panel discussions at the event, Christy Robinson, director of Engine Maintenance at Delta TechOps, commented on their approach to both legacy and next-generation engine platforms: “We continue to support a robust portfolio of legacy engine customers while expanding our capabilities for next-generation platforms,” she said. “We’re not scaling back in our legacy shops — we continue to invest in these shops. We’re bringing legacy forward with us as we industrialize and prepare for the future.”

Delta TechOps began offering third-party MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) services in 2000. Since then it has served more than 150 customers worldwide. The company is certified as the only North American MRO able to maintain all three leading advanced engine types: CFM LEAP, Pratt & Whitney GTF, and Rolls-Royce Trent families.

This expansion comes as Delta marks its 100th anniversary—a milestone reflecting its long-standing role in aviation innovation.
