Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) in Singapore partnered with the international nonprofit Rise Against Hunger (RAH) to pack 30,000 meals for families in Cambodia facing food insecurity. The event took place at the FedEx Singapore Techlink office and was the first time the company collaborated locally with RAH.

A total of 147 FedEx employees volunteered for the effort, working across three shifts and contributing 162 hours to prepare and pack meals. These meals will be distributed to Cambodian families struggling with access to nutritious food.

According to the World Food Programme, about 22 percent of children under five in Cambodia experience stunted growth due to malnutrition, and 16 percent of households cannot afford a healthy diet. RAH works in over 30 countries to help address these issues by supporting communities and providing emergency response.

The meal-packing initiative is part of a broader set of community programs run by FedEx Cares in Singapore. These include support for Club Rainbow through activities such as a zoo trip and a sustainability-themed carnival, as well as collaboration with Zero Waste SG on recycling awareness efforts in Queenstown.

Earlier this year, FedEx was recognized by AmCham Singapore with the CARES Distinction Award for the fifth consecutive year for its ongoing contributions to local communities.

FedEx continues to use its resources and expertise through volunteerism, shipping services, and charitable donations to support communities throughout Asia Pacific and beyond.

"Through volunteerism, in‑kind shipping, and charitable giving, FedEx leverages its people, network expertise, and resources to support communities across Asia Pacific and beyond."
