Embraer has reported a record-high order backlog of $31.3 billion for the third quarter of 2025, marking a 5% increase from the previous quarter and a 38% rise compared to the same period last year. The company attributes this growth to strong sales across all business units, with its Commercial segment playing a significant role.

The Commercial segment's backlog reached $15.2 billion in Q3 2025, which is up 37% year-over-year and represents a new nine-year high. The segment achieved a book-to-bill ratio of 2.7 over the past year, indicating robust demand without a slowdown in deliveries. Embraer delivered 62 aircraft in Q3, slightly above both the previous quarter and the same period last year. Year-to-date deliveries for Commercial and Executive jets have reached 148, which is 16% higher than at this point in 2024.

Several major orders contributed to this performance. A firm order from SAS for 45 E195-E2s with options for ten more began the quarter, followed by Avelo Airlines' order for 50 E195-E2s—the first US firm order for this model—and options for an additional 50 jets. LATAM Airlines Group also signed an agreement to acquire up to 74 E195-E2 aircraft.

The top five customers for Embraer's E195-E2 now include Porter Airlines, Avelo Airlines, Azul, LATAM, and SAS, each holding orders and options totaling at least 50 aircraft. Among these airlines, only Porter Airlines has received any deliveries so far.

Other business segments also showed strong results. The Executive jet segment posted a backlog of $7.3 billion—up 65% from last year—and delivered its milestone 2,000th business jet during the quarter. In Defense, Embraer delivered another C-390 Millennium to Portugal and sold five A-29 Super Tucano aircraft to Panama and SNC in the United States. The Services & Support unit ended Q3 with a $4.9 billion backlog, reflecting a year-over-year increase of 40%.

Francisco Gomes Neto, CEO of Embraer, commented on these results: "We are very optimistic. Things are going in the right direction. The backlog is at an all-time high, driven by strong demand across all business units. And more E2 orders are possible this year, as several sales campaigns are still ongoing."

In early October, TrueNoord—a specialist lessor that has previously placed Embraer aircraft with Porter and Breeze Airways—ordered an additional 20 E195-E2s with purchase rights for another 30 planes.
