FedEx has partnered with the animal welfare organization Cão Sem Dono and Tietê Plaza Shopping to organize a dog adoption fair aimed at raising awareness about animal care and responsible adoption. The event will take place on October 25, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Tietê Plaza Shopping in São Paulo. The fair will feature dogs of various sizes and ages that have been rescued by Cão Sem Dono. Activities for the public, including children's recreation and a donation drive to benefit the organization, are also planned.

Cão Sem Dono was established in São Paulo in 2005 and works to protect abandoned animals and find them new homes. The organization provides shelter, food, veterinary care, and affection for rescued animals. Over the past decade, it has cared for more than 3,000 animals, with over 2,000 being adopted. Rafael Miranda, president of Cão Sem Dono, said, "The support from FedEx and Tietê Plaza Shopping is essential for the continuation of our work and for our rescues to finally find responsible homes."

The event is part of FedEx Cares, the company's global community engagement program that supports local communities through employee volunteer work, financial donations, and transportation services. FedEx has a history of supporting animal protection efforts worldwide, including providing transportation for species preservation and at-risk animals. In Brazil, the company has run a Uniform Recycling Program for ten years, turning unused uniforms into blankets for donation to institutions, some of which focus on animal care.

In 2026, FedEx plans to expand its awareness efforts by distributing a themed calendar to customers featuring photos of dogs from Cão Sem Dono and information on animal protection and welfare, along with suggestions for individual contributions to the cause.

Gabriel Kayser, marketing and customer experience director for FedEx in Brazil, commented on the company's involvement: "We believe our role goes beyond delivering transportation and logistics services — we also want to promote social actions that generate positive impact in the communities where we operate."

Arnaldo Oliveira, marketing manager at Tietê Plaza Shopping, said, "Much more than an important shopping center, Tietê Plaza is committed to being a space that promotes well-being and supports causes relevant to society. The partnership with Cão Sem Dono aims to generate positive impact on the lives of people and animals who need a safe and loving home."

Some of the dogs available for adoption include Bob, who enjoys walks and gets along well with other dogs; Ximbica, a playful two-year-old male; Flora, a large affectionate female; and Léo, described as very playful and sociable. More than 15 other animals will also be present at the fair seeking new homes.

The adoption fair will be held at Tietê Plaza Shopping, located at Av. Raimundo Pereira de Magalhães, 1465, Jardim Iris, São Paulo.

FedEx is recognized as the largest express transportation company globally, offering fast deliveries to over 220 countries and territories using an extensive air and ground network.

Cão Sem Dono currently shelters about 500 rescued animals at its main facility in Itapecerica da Serra, which includes kennels, first aid areas, and spaces for animal recreation. The organization also operates a low-cost veterinary clinic in Jardim Vergueiro and a permanent bazaar in Sacomã, São Paulo. More information is available at www.caosemdono.com.br.

Tietê Plaza Shopping, managed by SYN, opened in 2013 in northern São Paulo and serves as a major shopping, leisure, and entertainment destination for the region. With over 200 stores covering an area of 37,000 square meters, it receives more than 600,000 visitors each month. Details about SYN can be found at www.syn.com.br.
