Air France adds regular Paris-Las Vegas flights using Airbus A350 starting April
Policy

On October 22, Air France announced it will begin regular flights between Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Las Vegas starting April 15. This marks the first time the airline will serve Nevada on a scheduled basis, rather than only for special events like the Consumer Electronics Show.

The new route is part of Air France’s ongoing expansion in leisure travel markets. In recent years, the airline has added one new US destination each year: Denver in 2021, Dallas/Fort Worth in 2022, Raleigh/Durham in 2023, Phoenix in 2024, and Orlando returning to its network in 2025. The announcement comes shortly after British Airways revealed plans to launch service to St. Louis next year.

Flights between Paris and Las Vegas will operate three times per week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays—using a three-class Airbus A350-900 with 324 seats: 34 business class seats (1-2-1 configuration), 24 premium economy seats (2-4-2; 38-inch pitch), and 266 economy seats (3-3-3; 31-inch pitch). According to Cirium Diio data, this higher-capacity version of the A350 will be used for Las Vegas flights instead of the more premium-heavy variant that is expected to fly about 42% of Air France’s US routes during the first half of 2026.

At approximately 4,729 nautical miles (8,758 kilometers) each way, this will be Air France’s fifth-longest US route by distance—fourth if considering only regularly scheduled services. Only Los Angeles, San Francisco, Phoenix, and certain limited charter flights to San Diego are longer.

According to booking data from last year, there were about 62,000 round-trip local passengers between Paris CDG and Las Vegas—an average of roughly 170 daily travelers. This made Las Vegas the largest unserved US market from Paris at that time; conversely, Paris was also Las Vegas’ top unserved European city. Industry expectations suggest that nonstop service combined with promotional efforts could raise annual passenger numbers above 80,000 after one year of operation.

Average one-way fares on this route were $1,110 across all cabins—including fuel surcharges—which compares favorably with other recently launched routes such as Phoenix ($994 average fare), even though Phoenix is further away and has been served since last year.

Connections through CDG are expected to play an important role for this flight. Major European cities with significant demand for travel to or from Las Vegas include London (322,000 passengers annually), Frankfurt (107,000), Amsterdam (72,000), Dublin (71,000), Manchester (64,000), Rome (36,000), Madrid (36,000), Barcelona (32,000), Zurich (30,000), and Milan (26,000).

Looking ahead at possible future destinations for Air France in the United States beyond Las Vegas: San Diego could be a candidate based on last year's figure of around 41,000 round-trip local passengers and an average one-way fare of $1,197. However KLM—a partner within Air France-KLM Group—already operates Amsterdam-San Diego service which may influence future decisions regarding expansion into that market.

By June 2026—and subject to change—Air France expects to offer passenger flights from Paris CDG to nineteen airports across the United States. When including its transatlantic joint venture partner Delta Air Lines’ operations from CDG as well these carriers together will serve twenty-one US airports from Paris.

For June next year specifically Air France currently plans up to thirty-three daily departures from CDG bound for US destinations totaling two hundred twenty-five weekly departures—a slight increase over previous summers when no more than thirty-two daily services were offered.
