Delta Air Lines marked its 100th anniversary by serving as the official airline of the 60th Head of the Charles Regatta (HOCR) in Boston. The event highlighted Delta’s long-standing relationship with the city, where it has operated since 1933 and now employs more than 2,000 people in Massachusetts.

“Delta is honored to support the Head of the Charles Regatta and celebrate our deep roots in Boston,” said Candice Stover, General Manager, New England Sales. "Because of the partnerships we’ve built and the connections we’ve grown over the past century, we are built for Boston—and ready for the next century of flight.”

At this year’s regatta, Delta introduced its Row x Wing Club along the Charles River. The space featured aviation-themed design elements that paid tribute to both rowing and flight, as well as a Legacy Wall displaying milestones from Delta’s history in Boston.

Attendees could view exhibits highlighting Delta’s local impact through collaborations with organizations such as Boston Children’s Hospital and Greater Boston Food Bank. The airline also announced a $25,000 donation to YMCA of Greater Boston to support swim safety programs. This initiative will help over 165 children develop water skills and encourage participation in aquatic activities. As part of this effort, 25 students from Hurley School took part in an introductory rowing session on the Charles River led by YMCA instructors.

Delta emphasized that its involvement at HOCR reflects not only its transportation services but also its commitment to supporting community growth and engagement in Boston. As it celebrates a century of service, Delta stated that it remains dedicated to connecting Boston globally while honoring local institutions and residents.
