Delta Air Lines has announced a new partnership with Crunchyroll, the global anime streaming platform, to bring a curated selection of anime content to its flights. This initiative marks the first time Crunchyroll’s offerings will be available exclusively onboard an airline.

The collaboration aims to provide Delta SkyMiles Members and customers with access to a wide range of anime series. Passengers can now find episodes from titles such as Black Clover, My Roommate is a Cat, Horimiya, Fruits Basket, and Solo Leveling—winner of Anime of the Year at the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards—on more than 165,000 seatback screens across Delta’s fleet. Additionally, SkyMiles Members can use Delta Sync Wi-Fi on over 940 aircraft to receive an exclusive offer: 24-hour free access to Crunchyroll’s full library of over 50,000 episodes and more than 2,000 unique titles during or after their flight.

“Every Delta flight is an opportunity to discover something new,” said Sarah Downs, Managing Director of In-Flight Entertainment Engagement & Optimization at Delta. “The world of anime is rich with storytelling and emotion, and Crunchyroll brings that to life in a way that’s perfect for travel. This partnership is a meaningful part of our ongoing commitment to delivering industry-leading entertainment that’s as dynamic and diverse as the customers we serve.”

Anime has become increasingly popular worldwide. According to research commissioned by Crunchyroll, nearly half of Gen Z fans see anime as a significant part of their identity. More than half of Millennial and Gen X fans have followed anime for over ten years. With more than 17 million paid subscribers globally, Crunchyroll remains a leading destination for anime enthusiasts.

“There is nothing better on a long flight than immersing yourself in the rich storytelling and world-building of anime. Fans can go deep on one series or sample one episode of many series - from action to adventure, romance and more. And when they get hooked they can continue their experience on the Crunchyroll app,” said Rahul Purini, President of Crunchyroll. “We are excited to share what we love with Delta customers and go to new heights together.”

This partnership is part of Delta’s broader effort to enhance customer experiences through collaborations with major brands like Paramount+. The airline continues its strategy toward building what it calls “the world's most loved loyalty program,” offering members exclusive benefits such as American Express Card rewards and personalized experiences.
