American Express has introduced a new benefit for its Business Gold Card holders, offering up to $150 in annual statement credits for U.S. purchases made with Squarespace. The credit is available to both new and existing cardmembers, but enrollment is required.

The new perk allows Business Gold Card users to offset the costs of building and managing professional websites using Squarespace’s suite of tools, which includes options for e-commerce, scheduling, invoicing, and marketing. With Squarespace subscription plans ranging from $192 to $1,668 per year, the $150 credit can cover a significant portion of a basic plan.

Enrollment for the benefit is currently open. Once activated, cardholders will receive up to $150 in statement credits each calendar year when paying with their Business Gold Card for eligible Squarespace purchases in the U.S. Because this is a calendar year benefit, members who enroll late in the year could potentially use the credit twice within one cardmember year—once before December 31 and again after January 1—for a total of $300.

This addition joins two other credits offered by the Business Gold Card: up to $240 back annually on eligible purchases at FedEx, Grubhub, and office supply stores; and up to $155 back each year for Walmart+ membership fees (enrollment required). Altogether, these benefits provide up to $545 per year in potential credits.

According to American Express: "With Squarespace, Business Gold Card members can build and manage professional websites — including tools for e-commerce, scheduling, invoicing and marketing — all in one place."

Another statement highlights the ease of access: "Enrollment in the benefit is now open, and once activated, you'll receive up to $150 in statement credits each calendar year when you use your Business Gold Card to pay for eligible Squarespace purchases in the U.S."

The new benefit aims to make the American Express Business Gold Card more appealing for entrepreneurs and freelancers looking to enhance their online presence while helping offset some of the card's annual fee costs.
