Ethiopian Airlines announced on X that it has reinsaid flights to Port Sudan, with daily service starting on October 15, 2025, and increasing to two daily flights on November 1, 2025.

According to Ethiopian Airlines on X, the carrier is "delighted to announce the reinstatement of its flight to Port Sudan, Sudan," resuming service after a suspension prompted by regional instability. The airline confirmed that daily flights will begin immediately and will expand to two per day in early November. This reinstatement strengthens Ethiopia’s aviation link to its northern neighbor, reflecting confidence in regional connectivity and travel recovery.

Ethiopian Airlines’ official route and schedule information indicates that Port Sudan (PZU) joins the airline’s extensive African network as part of its more than 60 intra-African destinations. The daily flight schedule will operate with modern Boeing and De Havilland aircraft, offering seamless connections via Addis Ababa to Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. The frequency increase to double daily aligns with growing passenger and trade demand between Ethiopia and Sudan.
