Etihad Airways announced on the social media platform X that it transported 1.9 million passengers in September 2025, marking a 21% increase from the previous year, with an average load factor of 89%. Year-to-date, the airline has carried 16.1 million passengers across its fleet of 115 aircraft serving 82 destinations worldwide.

According to Etihad Airways' post on X, "We flew 1.9 million guests in September, a 21% rise year-on-year," and it was added that the airline's "average load factor" reached 89% as its global network continued to perform strongly. The post highlighted year-to-date figures of 16.1 million guests, along with details about its aircraft and passenger destinations, emphasizing the breadth and capacity of its network.

In Etihad’s official September 2025 traffic update, the carrier reported transporting 1.9 million passengers for the month, up by 21% compared to September 2024. The passenger load factor averaged at 89%, one percentage point higher than the previous year. The release attributed this growth to sustained demand across an expanding global network and strong operational performance.

The same release indicated that from January to September 2025, passenger numbers reached 16.1 million, representing an 18% increase over the prior year. The operating fleet consisted of 115 aircraft serving 82 passenger destinations worldwide. It was noted that this fleet count includes ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) leases and freighters, highlighting disciplined capacity deployment.
