Air India announced that starting October 26, 60 of its 180 daily domestic flights have been relocated from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2 at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. This change is part of the preparations for the expansion of Terminal 3. International flights will continue to operate from Terminal 3.
According to Air India's official travel-information page, the flights moving to Terminal 2 are those with numbers beginning "AI1XXX" (e.g., AI1737). This shift is linked to capacity and operational adjustments during the Terminal 3 expansion.
As reported by The Telegraph India, the terminal change aims to improve terminal management and support ongoing enlargement work at Terminal 3 by its operator, Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL). While 60 domestic flights will move to Terminal 2, around 120 domestic services will remain at Terminal 3, and all international flights will continue unchanged at Terminal 3.
