Turkish Airlines has introduced a new livery on its latest Airbus A350-900, marking the arrival of the airline’s 500th aircraft. The design, unveiled at a ceremony in Istanbul, features a white front and red rear section. Upon closer inspection, the red area is composed of photographs of Turkish Airlines’ 100,000 employees and retirees.
The special aircraft, registered as TC-LHH, was ordered in September 2023 and delivered to Turkish Airlines in December 2025. The launch event included “photographs of Turkish Airlines’ 100,000 employees and retirees. Meanwhile, ‘children of martyrs who gave their lives for the Turkish nation, representing all 81 provinces of Türkiye, and the cast of Turkish Airlines’ memorable Iğdır (When You Dream) commercial’ were also present at the launch,” according to an airline statement.
Turkish Airlines Chair Ahmet Bolat said: “Twelve years ago, when we filmed our ‘When You Dream’ commercial with 247 aircraft and 247 destinations, the 500th aircraft was a dream. Witnessing that dream become reality today holds a special meaning.”
As part of the unveiling event at Istanbul Airport—attended by executives from Turkish Airlines and its subsidiaries, former senior executives, employees and retirees, as well as figures from the aviation industry—the A350 performed a commemorative flight numbered TK500. The route traced out “500” in the sky above Turkey with one zero replaced by the carrier’s wild goose logo. After this two-hour-and-45-minute flight, TC-LHH returned to regular service with its first passenger flight departing for Denpasar just hours later.
The milestone comes as Turkish Airlines looks ahead to expanding its fleet to 1,000 aircraft. Another Airbus A350-900 in its fleet (TC-LGH) also carries a special livery commemorating its position as the airline’s 400th aircraft.
