SATS Ltd. (SATS), a global leader in gateway services and Asia’s pre-eminent provider of food solutions, has announced the opening of its upgraded SATS Premier Lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 3. This initiative aims to enhance the pre-flight and transit travel experience for airline customers.

The new lounge will feature Singaporean dishes such as laksa, chicken rice, prawn noodles, and other local fare in an environment that includes interior design elements from local artists and students. The flagship 'Executive' space offers private pods, dining service, family seating, and various travel-friendly amenities. Over the next few years, SATS plans to extend these refurbishments to Premier Lounges in Terminals 1 and 2.

Kerry Mok, SATS Group President and CEO, stated that the upgrades reflect SATS’ commitment to delivering a uniquely Singaporean experience to travelers and airline customers at Changi Airport. "Millions of people visit the SATS lounges in Changi each year. With inputs from airlines and passengers, we were able to reimagine the lounge as a space for travellers where food, culture and hospitality experiences converge and enrich their experience of Singapore," said Mok.

The lounge will feature award-winning chefs preparing traditional local favorites like laksa, congee, biryani, alongside international cuisine. Robot chefs will prepare pastas from Twyst restaurants' menu items. Additionally, collaborations with six renowned local hawker brands—Beach Road Prawn Noodle House, Boon Tong Kee, Killiney, Downstairs by Song Fa, Rumah Makan Minang, and Ponggol Nasi Lemak—will further enhance the Singaporean culinary experience for travelers.

Through the SATS Foundation's design institution program with LASALLE College of the Arts, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), and Singapore Polytechnic Media Arts & Design School (MAD), budding artists will have a platform to showcase their digital artwork. Professional works from local artists Loy Yan Ling from Euphoramics and heritage crockery from The Intan museum will also be featured.

To brand the lounge as uniquely SATS and Singaporean, wall and floor tiles designed by the SATS Global Innovation Hub team symbolize roots in Singapore with ornamental designs inspired by Peranakan tiles. These tiles feature national symbols such as the Vanda Miss Joaquim orchid representing unity and cultural fusion while the Crimson Sunbird symbolizes flight.
