A recent incident highlights how online shopping can lead to the revocation of Global Entry privileges, which also results in the loss of TSA PreCheck. Dan Nunn shared his experience on Twitter: "I get another letter from USCBP saying my Global Entry privileges have been revoked (essentially for life)." The U.S. Customs and Border Protection looks not only for individuals who can be trusted not to be terrorists but also those who do not violate customs rules, including U.S. companies' intellectual property rights.

A separate incident involving a pregnant woman demanding a first-class upgrade has sparked debate. She stated, “I’m asking to sit in an open seat because I’m incredibly uncomfortable, I’m high risk, I probably shouldn’t even be flying in the first place.” This raises concerns about airlines having to divert flights if passengers declare they may not be medically able to fly.

Lastly, a meme stock and crypto influencer discussed airline credit card initial bonuses on social media: "The trick is POINTS!! Just like I have been doing every single summer, you too can fly for (almost) free in business class." The influencer emphasized using points from airline-affiliated cards rather than regular credit cards.
