Victoria Malone expressed her dissatisfaction with American Airlines after experiencing a broken Business Class seat on a seven-hour flight from JFK to CDG. She stated, "My $2000 Business Class seat was broken on our 7-hour flight from JFK to CDG. The flight attendant said AA knew the seat was defective before the flight. I sent a letter and received a $50 voucher. I deserve a cash refund." Malone shared her frustration via Twitter, concluding with, "YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!"

In other news, Hertz has revised its points expiration policy. The rental car company now sets a five-year expiration period for points regardless of account activity. This change affects even active accounts, potentially leading to lost saved points. Gil West, former Delta Chief Operating Officer known for enhancing Delta's reputation, was appointed CEO in April with hopes of improving Hertz's operations.
