When non-stop block time is considered, the world's 10 longest narrowbody routes in peak summer range between 8 hours 30 minutes and 9 hours 20 minutes. La Compagnie's flights from Milan and Nice to Newark share the top position, influenced by having just 72 lie-flat beds. United Airlines has three routes blocked at a maximum of 8 hours 40 minutes.

The third quarter, spanning July to September, marks a critical period for airlines in the Northern Hemisphere as they aim to maximize revenue during peak summer travel. This financial boost is essential to help them navigate the challenging winter months.

An analysis of Cirium data for these three months indicates that narrowbody aircraft will operate approximately one in every fifteen long-haul flights, defined here as covering 2,600 nautical miles (4,815 km) or more. The focus of this analysis is on non-stop services; therefore, routes with stops are excluded. This includes Neos' newly introduced Boeing 737 MAX 8 service between Milan Bergamo and Amristar via Aktau.

The table below summarizes the world's ten longest narrowbody routes based on maximum block time from July to September:

| Max Block Time | Nautical Miles (km) | Non-Stop Airport Pair | Airline |

|----------------|----------------------|---------------------------------|---------------------|

| 9h 20m | 3,485 (6,453) | Milan Malpensa-Newark | La Compagnie A321LR |

| 9h 20m | 3,482 (6,448) | Nice-Newark | La Compagnie A321LR |

| 9h 00m | 3,351 (6,206) | Copenhagen-New York JFK | SAS A321LR |

| 8h 45m | 3,419 (6,331) | Stockholm Arlanda-Toronto | SAS A321LR |

| 8h 40m | 3,395 (6,288) | Copenhagen-Toronto | SAS A321LR |

La Compagnie leads the list both in terms of time and distance with its all-business-class Airbus A321LRs featuring only lie-flat beds.

Regarding Air Transat's routes between Montreal/Toronto and Lima: despite covering more distance than some listed routes (3,443 nautical miles from Montreal and Toronto), their block times are extended due to refueling stops in Montego Bay or Punta Cana. These stops push block times up to over ten hours but reduce significantly when flown non-stop.

Estelar operates between Caracas and Santiago de Chile using a Boeing737-400 which requires a refueling stop in Lima. Similarly excluded is XiamenAir's upcoming Xiamen-Malé route using a Boeing737-800 due to inevitable refueling stops despite being advertised as "non-stop."
