LAWA recognizes jet operators for noise reduction at Van Nuys Airport

Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) has recognized 21 jet operators for their efforts in noise reduction as part of the Van Nuys Airport Fly Friendly Program. The award criteria include at least 60 southbound jet departures, no violations of LAWA's Noise Abatement and Curfew Regulation, Non-Additional Rule, and Noisier Jet Phase-Out, compliance at 99% or greater with the No Early Turn and Quiet Jet Departure Programs, and observance of the Quieter Nights Program. This program encourages jet operators to avoid flights between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m., an element added to the award criteria in 2021.

Among the winners for 2023 are three first-time recipients: FlyHouse, Planet Nine Private Air, LLC, and Vista America. The list also includes 18 repeat winners: Air Lease Corporation, Chrysler Aviation, Inc., Circadian Aviation, LLC, Cirrus Aviation Services, Clay Lacy Aviation, Executive Jet Management, Inc., Jet Aviation Flight Services, Inc., Jet Edge International, Latitude 33 Aviation, LLC, Leonard Green & Partners LP., Pacific Coast Jet LLC., Paragon Airways Prime Jet LLC., Silver Air STA Jets Trans-Exec Air Service Inc., Verijet Inc., and XOJET Aviation LLC.
