West Star Aviation’s interior specialists are recognized for their creativity and talent in the aircraft interior design industry. They are attuned to both industry trends and customer preferences, particularly in the segment of aircraft interior design.

A significant trend is the floor plan reconfiguration of the Falcon 2000 aircraft, which has been highly requested over the past five years.

Modifying an 8-passenger layout to accommodate 10 passengers involves several intricate changes. Typically, an 8-passenger configuration includes a forward 4-place club arrangement and a conference group setup in the aft section, accompanied by a credenza on the right-hand side. This credenza is removed and replaced with new aluminum plates mounted on the floor to align with existing seat tracks. New, narrower seat tracks are then installed to fit narrow-style seats.

A new set of narrow-style double conference seats is placed on the left-hand side of the cabin, often using an existing conference table that may require modification for egress compliance. A new side-ledge and table assembly is built and installed on the right side for a new narrow-style club group.

Several cost-driving elements must be considered when planning this reconfiguration. Providing detailed information to a West Star Aviation Technical Sales Manager at the initial request can expedite an accurate proposal. Each aircraft is unique, requiring specific details such as part numbers of existing seating groups to ensure compatibility with new seating arrangements. Additionally, verifying whether an existing Flight Data Recorder (FDR) complies with additional passenger requirements is necessary. The capacity and positioning of oxygen bottles also need consideration, along with potential modifications or upgrades to existing cabin management systems.

West Star Aviation has completed ten such projects successfully. George Euler, Corporate Aircraft Interior Sales Manager (GJT), stated: “I've had the pleasure of reconfiguring several Falcon 2000's. It starts with our 3D designers and quickly engages our engineering team, allowing us to unleash our creativity. By focusing on the customer's needs, we tailor the design to meet their operational requirements. We provide additional seating capacity crucial for charter companies."
