Lufthansa Airlines has inaugurated its new premium lounge in Terminal B at Newark Liberty International Airport, New Jersey. The 600 square meter space is designed for guests to relax or work before their flights.

The central feature of the lounge is the Skyline Bar, offering a variety of cocktails, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages. Additionally, craft beer from New Jersey is available on tap. The culinary offerings include fresh regional products in the bistro area. During summer, the menu features items such as cornbread with candied tomato jam and sandwiches with trumpet mushrooms, bacon, crisp lettuce, and tomato chutney on sourdough bread.

First Class passengers and HON Circle members have access to a private dining area where they can enjoy an à la carte menu along with top wines and champagne.

An investment of approximately 10 million Euros was made for the new lounge.

Victoria Schuster, Vice President Product & Customer Experience Lufthansa Airlines, stated: “We are proud to be able to present our guests in Newark with a new lounge that sets new standards. It offers private travelers cozy retreats for relaxation and our business customers generous workspaces. This lounge is a testament to our commitment to the customer as we strive to continually improve the experience for our guests, on the ground and in the air. That's why we continue to invest in our offering around the world, whether in New Jersey or elsewhere, to meet Lufthansa's premium standards and above all those of our guests.”

The new lounge at Newark Liberty Airport accommodates around 170 guests—an increase in capacity by 25 percent compared to its predecessor. Access is granted to First and Business Class passengers of all Lufthansa Group airlines flying from Newark Airport as well as HON Circle members and Senators.

The multifunctional design caters to various traveler needs before their flight. One third of the space is dedicated to business travelers with functional communal tables equipped with wireless charging or printing options.

The remaining area invites relaxation with comfortable seating arrangements suitable for solo travelers up to larger groups. Multifunctional rooms are available for meetings, calls or children's play areas.

Lufthansa currently operates about 60 lounges across 17 locations worldwide providing spaces for guests to relax or work before their flights.
