Bilt Rewards points will no longer transfer to Hawaiian Airlines HawaiianMiles, as confirmed by Bilt Vice President Richard Kerr. "They had a three-year deal with Hawaiian, which came to an end," Kerr stated. He explained that since Hawaiian Airlines is expected to merge with Alaska Airlines, also a Bilt transfer partner, it was not practical to extend the agreement.

"The legal and manpower overhead required to create a new agreement with HA didn’t make sense for either of us when we were confident the partnership would return shortly," added Kerr in his social media post on August 20, 2024.

Bilt offers 1:1 transfers to Alaska Airlines. With HawaiianMiles expected to integrate into Alaska’s Mileage Plan eventually, American Express Membership Rewards points currently provide an alternative route for transferring points to HawaiianMiles.

Hawaiian’s program has been noted for its good award availability on its flights and unique two levels of upgrade inventory. Transfers from Bilt to Hawaiian were particularly advantageous last year due to a 100% bonus promotion.

The timeline for the integration of Hawaiian Airlines into Alaska and the subsequent transfer of miles remains unannounced. The Department of Justice has approved the merger from an antitrust perspective and awaits Department of Transportation approval before finalizing the transaction.
