Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Famer and founding member of Public Enemy, Flavor Flav, handed out snacks on a Southwest Airlines flight. He mentioned that he encountered some flight attendants in Paris during the Olympics, who invited him to participate in the snack distribution and make the landing announcement on his next flight. Coincidentally, they were crew members on a trip he was taking.

"Met some @SouthwestAir flight attendants in Paris and they said I was a regular on their flights and next time I could pass out the snacks and do the landing announcement,,, and guess what,,, I did it,!!! How does it feel to be landing with the voice of yours truly FLAVOR FLAV,?!" tweeted Flavor Flav.

This act could be seen as Flavor Flav's way to "Fight The Power," although it might have violated the TWU Local 556 scope clause with the airline. This wasn't his first time engaging in such an activity; he also handed out snacks on a Southwest Airlines flight in 2015, declaring at that time that “Today the back of the plane is 1st class!!!!” Last year, he was recorded passing out snacks inflight, suggesting he has done this several times.

Two years ago, Flavor Flav had an incident with Spirit Airlines after missing boarding a flight while in the gate area in Las Vegas. The incident went viral, leading Spirit to refund his ticket and grant him Gold status in their Free Spirit program.

There was misreporting at that time claiming that Flavor Flav received free flights for life from Southwest Airlines and offers from Delta and American Airlines. It appears there was a misunderstanding regarding his Southwest Airlines Companion Pass.
