Volato, an operator of one of the world's largest fleets of HondaJets, has expanded its fractional ownership program fleet with the addition of the super-midsize Gulfstream G280. The company announced its order for four of these twinjets two years ago and expects to take delivery of its first G280 next week.

To mark the aircraft's arrival and the expansion into a higher weight class, the Atlanta-based operator will take the G280 on a tour for prospective buyers starting on August 9. The tour will commence in Atlanta, followed by stops in Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, Miami, New York, and Houston in subsequent days. Volato anticipates receiving a second G280 by the end of this year, with the remaining jets expected to arrive in 2025.

“Our customers’ travel needs are diverse, and while the majority of private aviation missions are efficiently served by the HondaJet, there is significant demand for larger aircraft for longer journeys and bigger groups,” explained Volato CEO Matt Liotta. “The G280 addresses these needs, ensuring we continue to provide the right aircraft for every mission.”
