MGM Resorts International has introduced a $51 fee for phone bookings, causing significant backlash among guests and industry observers. Heather Benson, a guest who experienced the charge, tweeted: "This guest booked 3 nights x $15 +Tax fee for call center booking = Extra $51.03 just to have a reservations agent book your room for you. TOTAL NONSENSE, MGM!"
In another incident, an American Airlines passenger refused to downgrade from first class to Main Cabin Extra after the airline substituted the aircraft with one that had fewer first-class seats. The passenger exited the plane in protest and later announced plans to switch his business to Southwest Airlines.
Separately, a Lenovo sales employee was terminated after urinating in the lobby of the Westin Times Square. The employee claimed it was due to a disability and mentioned that worse behaviors are common among his colleagues. He is now suing Lenovo.
