Demand for pilots has shifted dramatically over the past year. JetBlue is reportedly offering retirement packages to its pilots. However, furloughed pilots face challenges as getting rehired often means starting at the bottom of the seniority list.

Spirit Airlines has released its final furlough numbers: 186 pilot furloughs and 96 Captain downgrades. These are Spirit's first pilot furloughs since 2008.

Air Canada has standardized check-in times across all flights. This change benefits international travelers by eliminating the 90-minute cutoff at Toronto Pearson but increases check-in times for domestic flights within Canada.

Social media complaints about U.S. airlines continue to surface frequently, particularly regarding damaged checked bags and empty overhead bins despite passengers being required to gate-check their luggage due to alleged full bins.
