Passengers have expressed frustration over the issue of unused overhead bin space on flights, leading to forced gate checks and delays in retrieving their luggage. Several individuals took to social media to voice their complaints.

Karah Preiss tweeted at Delta Airlines: "Hey just wanted to flag that I was forced to gate check only to get on the plane and see a ton of empty overhead bins. Hate to have to wait for checked bag I didn’t intend to check."

Another passenger, Ilona, directed her anger towards American Airlines: "IM LIVIDDDDDDDDDD!! Not only was there space, THE SPACE WAS IN MY ROW???? @AmericanAir explain yourselves??? I literally begged to keep my things on me… I want know what the reason is?????"
