On September 5, 2024, an incident in Las Vegas prompted a counterterrorism response when a hotel guest reportedly crafted a flamethrower using bongs, butane, and meth pipes. "While speaking with officers, Hamilton, who was covered in a black oily substance, reportedly said he was running from two people in the stairwell," according to Las Vegas Locally.
