The Pakistani government is set to sell a $2.2 billion stake in Pakistan International Airlines after relieving it of $2.2 billion in debt. The buyer will assume around PKR220 billion (USD789 million) in liabilities and must inject PKR80 billion (USD287 million) within the first twelve months—more than half of the USD500 million required over three years.
