Delta Air Lines is set to inaugurate its second Delta One Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) this Thursday. This new addition, located in Terminal 3, follows the launch of a similar lounge at New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) earlier this year. The LAX facility spans just over 10,000 square feet and aims to provide premium travelers with a range of amenities including an exclusive check-in experience and a dedicated Transportation Security Agency checkpoint.

The entrance to the LAX lounge opened last year and is specifically reserved for those holding tickets marketed as Delta One. According to Sean Cudahy from The Points Guy, "This particular entrance opened in 2023 and has saved Delta One travelers time and stress ever since."

Inside the lounge, guests will find various spaces designed for relaxation or work. A library lounge area offers leather chairs and mini tables equipped with charging ports. For business needs, complimentary Espresso Displays monitors are available for reservation.

The centerpiece of the space is the marble "icon bar," which one Delta executive noted might be the most iconic among all Delta lounges. Claude Roussel, Delta's vice president of Sky Clubs and Lounge Experience, stated that "There is a story for every single cocktail we've created," highlighting offerings like the Sleepy British Bee and Cucumber Lychee Chuhai.

Dining options include an exclusively table service setup featuring dishes such as truffle parsnip soup and steak frites. For those in a hurry, Destination Bento boxes offer a quick meal option inspired by cities like Boston, Tokyo, and Paris.

Outdoor seating on a terrace allows guests to enjoy Southern California weather while being attended by staff. Inside, a wellness area provides eight relaxation pods with spa music playing softly in the background.

Though there are no shower suites directly within the lounge itself, facilities are available in the neighboring Sky Club.

Looking ahead, Roussel mentioned that later this fall Delta plans to introduce a similar security concept at JFK as seen at LAX. By December, another Delta One Lounge is expected to open at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS).
