Federal Express Corporation has announced a new flight route connecting Miami, Guatemala, and Honduras. This service will offer a daily cargo capacity of up to 52,000 pounds, improving connectivity for Central American businesses involved in importing and exporting with the United States and globally.
The route will be operated by a FedEx Boeing 757 aircraft five days a week. It begins at Miami International Airport, proceeds to La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City, Guatemala, and concludes at Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, before returning to Miami. This marks FedEx's first direct presence in Honduras.
Basil Khalil, Vice President of FedEx Operations for Central America and the Caribbean, stated: “This new flight reaffirms the commitment and support of FedEx with Central America and its economic growth.” He added that enhancing their presence in Honduras allows them to better serve customers' international shipping needs.
