Alaska Airlines offers two cobranded credit cards that appeal to loyal customers: the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® credit card and the Alaska Airlines Visa® Business card. Both cards, issued by Bank of America, cater to different types of users while providing similar benefits.

The annual fee for both cards is $95, with the business card breaking it down as $70 per company and $25 per card. New cardholders can earn 50,000 bonus miles and Alaska's Famous Companion Fare™ after spending $3,000 within the first 90 days of account opening. This offer applies equally to both personal and business versions.

Both cards reward purchases with Alaska Airlines by offering 3 miles per dollar spent on eligible purchases. They also provide 2 miles per dollar on gas, EV charging stations, local transit (including ride-hailing), and other specific categories—cable and select streaming services for personal cardholders; shipping purchases for business users.

Cardholders benefit from an Annual Companion Fare each anniversary year after spending $6,000 on purchases in the prior year. They also enjoy a free checked bag for themselves and up to six guests on reservations paid with their card. Additionally, they receive priority boarding and a $100 discount on one Alaska Lounge+ Membership annually when purchased with their card.

Both cards return 20% back on inflight purchases such as food and Wi-Fi. The rewards system includes a 10% bonus on all miles earned if there is an eligible Bank of America account linked to the personal or business account.

Despite changes in Alaska's award charts in late 2022, redeeming miles remains advantageous. For short-haul flights like Seattle to San Francisco, only 5,000 miles may be required per leg. Longer domestic flights generally need around 40,000 miles for first-class tickets but can start at just 15,000 miles for shorter routes.

Alaska's partnerships with airlines like British Airways and Cathay Pacific allow broad travel opportunities worldwide. Notably, travelers can benefit from one free stopover on one-way award tickets.

Ultimately, choosing between these two credit cards might depend solely on eligibility for a business account or preference regarding minor differences in rewards categories. Both are viable options given their benefits relative to annual fees below $100.
