Federal Express Corporation, the largest express transportation company globally, has launched its FedEx Surround® portfolio in Europe. This innovative solution aims to enhance logistics and supply chain management by providing greater control and visibility of shipments for customers. The rollout will begin with the healthcare sector in several European countries, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Spain, and Switzerland. Other markets and industries across Europe are expected to follow by late 2024 or early 2025.

FedEx Surround® employs monitoring and intervention technologies that predict potential disruptions in the shipping process. This allows FedEx and its clients to make informed decisions swiftly. The tools come in three service levels—Select, Preferred, and Premium—and support various industries such as healthcare, aerospace, automotive, and high-tech sectors. They provide updates and intervention options to ensure sensitive shipments are delivered completely and on time.

"We continuously learn from millions of packages moving through our network daily. We identify patterns, trends, cause-and-effect relationships and use these insights to improve our service more precisely. The introduction of FedEx Surround® in Europe means we can offer our customers smarter ways to manage their supply chains."

FedEx is committed to innovation demonstrated by the strategic use of machine learning technologies within the FedEx Surround® system. These tools integrate seamlessly into the company's existing transport network while expanding its portfolio of shipping and tracking solutions.
