Alaska Airlines has introduced a new offer for its Visa Signature credit card, providing an opportunity for applicants to earn 60,000 bonus miles and a companion fare. This offer is available to those who spend $3,000 or more on purchases within the first 90 days of opening their account.

The bonus miles are valued at approximately $870 according to TPG's October 2024 valuations. The companion fare requires payment of taxes and fees starting from $23. This ticket can be used for any economy class travel across Alaska Airlines' domestic and international routes, though it excludes partner airlines.

The card comes with a $95 annual fee and offers various benefits. Cardholders earn three miles per dollar on eligible Alaska Airlines purchases, two miles per dollar on certain other expenses like gas and streaming services, and one mile per dollar on all other purchases. Additional perks include priority boarding and free checked bags for up to six guests when flights are paid with the card.

Alaska Airlines recently announced changes to its loyalty program that may benefit those seeking elite status in 2025. Cardholders can earn MVP Elite status by spending on the card starting January 1, 2025.

The Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan program is recognized for its value due to partnerships with several airlines, including being part of the Oneworld alliance. It allows booking of premium cabins with partners like Cathay Pacific using Alaska miles.

This offer provides a chance to accumulate significant miles without high spending requirements and includes a generous companion ticket offer. Applicants should review Bank of America's rules before applying.
