Metro Aviation has announced the establishment of a new division, Metro Gulf, which will expand its services to include fixed-wing aircraft. This addition enhances Metro's capabilities in maintenance, repair, and avionics services for both its existing fleet and external customers. Metro Gulf is based in Lafayette, Louisiana, and holds its own Part 145 certificate.

Kenny Morrow, COO of Metro Aviation, expressed enthusiasm about this expansion: “We are excited to expand our capabilities and geography,” he said. Morrow also welcomed Joey Calandra and his team from Avionics Solutions to the Metro family.

The new division brings the total number of Metro Aviation's MRO facilities to three. These include locations in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania; Shreveport, Louisiana; and now Lafayette, Louisiana.
