Delta Air Lines and Aeromexico have collaborated to provide a job shadowing experience for eight high school students from Colegio de Bachilleres, Plantel 9 Aragón. The event took place at Mexico City International Airport and aimed to offer students a firsthand look into the aviation industry.

The initiative allowed students to gain insights from professionals at both airlines. They experienced a behind-the-scenes view of airport operations, which helped them understand the aviation sector better. Delta and Aeromexico volunteers guided the students through simulated exercises and introduced them to various career opportunities in aviation.

The collaboration between Delta and Aeromexico is part of their Joint Cooperation Agreement (JCA), which aims to inspire young people by showcasing potential career paths in aviation. "At Delta, we appreciate our partner Aeromexico for joining us to participate in this Job Shadow experience,” said María Aramburo-Aguilar, Airport Station Manager. She emphasized the importance of engaging with communities and helping students see international career opportunities in aviation.

Junior Achievement (JA) played a significant role in this initiative by providing educational programs that help young people plan for their future economic success. Hugo Preciado, Junior Achievement Mexico Program Manager, expressed enthusiasm about working with Delta and Aeromexico: "Many of these students have never visited an airport and are unaware of the numerous job opportunities available."

This project is one among many initiatives by Delta to connect with students globally through partnerships like Delta’s Propel Academy. The airline aims to create meaningful partnerships that address community needs and foster global change.
