Following brief sailings from New York and Los Angeles, Virgin Voyages will introduce its new ship, Brilliant Lady, to Alaska in 2026. This vessel, which can accommodate 2,770 passengers and is the fourth in Virgin Voyages' fleet, will debut in late 2025. It will operate seven- to 12-night itineraries from Seattle and Vancouver during the spring and summer of 2026.

The Brilliant Lady's first voyage is scheduled for May 21–28, 2026. This round-trip journey from Seattle will visit ports such as Ketchikan, Sitka, and Prince Rupert. Additionally, it includes scenic sailing through Tracy Arm Fjord. The ship's longer 12-night cruises offer the same ports as the shorter ones but add stops at Skagway, Icy Strait Point, and Haines. There will also be additional scenic sailing by Hubbard Glacier.

Passengers on these cruises can enjoy a variety of excursions referred to as "Shore Things" by Virgin Voyages. These include activities like whale-watching, salmon fishing, glacier trekking, lumberjack shows, and dogsledding. While shore tours come with an extra cost for passengers, other services such as basic Wi-Fi, gratuities, and nearly all specialty dining are included in the cruise fares.

Virgin Voyages joins MSC Cruises in offering Alaska sailings for the first time in 2026. Other cruise lines have also made announcements regarding their plans for Alaska trips. Royal Caribbean plans to assign its mega-ship Ovation of the Seas for one-way cruises between Vancouver and Seward starting in 2026.

Before moving to the Pacific Northwest for its Alaska voyages in 2026, Brilliant Lady is expected to conduct Bermuda and Canada/New England trips from New York's Manhattan Cruise Terminal. It will also offer Caribbean cruises from Miami and Mexico/California coastal sailings from Los Angeles throughout 2025.
