The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) has commenced at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. FedEx, a leading express transportation company, is participating in the "Service Trade" section of the expo. The company is presenting its innovations and sustainable initiatives under the themes "Grow with FedEx," "Focus on Service," and "Sustainability." These efforts highlight FedEx's commitment to enhancing connectivity between China and global markets over its 40-year presence in the region.

FedEx's booth features an open design incorporating multimedia materials, physical exhibits, and simulated models to offer an immersive experience. A unique "runway" ceiling design guides visitors through FedEx's milestones in China. Attendees can interact with displays and demonstrations showcasing FedEx's advancements in technology and sustainability. An interactive game called “Carbon Explorer Action” encourages visitors to explore low-emission activities, promoting environmental collaboration. Additionally, FedEx will host three forums to support business development in China and strengthen ties with government authorities, customers, and partners.

Poh-Yian Koh, Senior Vice President of FedEx and President of FedEx China, stated: “CIIE is an important platform for promoting international trade. We are honored to showcase our significant journey of growth alongside the Chinese market over the past 40 years, highlighting our outstanding achievements in network capacity, service offerings, digital innovation, and sustainability.” Koh added that FedEx provides comprehensive delivery services that aid Chinese customers in streamlining their supply chains while contributing to economic growth.

At this year's CIIE booth, FedEx emphasizes several key initiatives:

- **Grow with FedEx:** The company is optimizing its air transportation network by launching new cargo flights from Qingdao and Xiamen to the U.S., establishing gateway facilities that enhance global connectivity. In October, FedEx completed a cultural exchange initiative by moving six giant pandas between the U.S. and China on two flights.

- **Focus on Service:** Enhancements include a new online import customs declaration tool and expanded logistics services like the FedEx® International Connect Plus (FICP) service to the U.S. and Europe. New technologies such as automated guided forklifts have been deployed to meet freight shipment demands efficiently.

- **Sustainability:** Under its “Practical Sustainability” philosophy, FedEx implements actions like vehicle electrification and green projects including solar installations in China. The company also launched the FedEx® Sustainability Insights tool for carbon emission data on international shipments within its network.
