LAX is preparing to welcome a significant number of visitors during the spring break period, according to Michael Christensen, Chief Operations and Maintenance Officer at Los Angeles World Airports. He stated, “LAX is ready and excited to welcome millions of visitors to Los Angeles this Spring Break.” The airport expects an average of over 211,000 passengers daily through March and into April.

Christensen emphasized the importance of LAX for both business and leisure travelers as the airport undergoes infrastructure and technology upgrades. “The expected increase in passenger traffic is a testament to the importance of LAX for business and leisure travelers,” he said.

To accommodate the increased traffic, over 80,000 vehicles are expected to transit through the Central Terminal Area roadways during this period. The airport has provided several tips for travelers to ensure a smooth experience.

Travelers meeting someone at the airport should check flight status and arrival terminals beforehand. Real-time traffic and parking updates are available via @FlyLAXstats on X (formerly Twitter). Curbside pickup and drop-off are allowed on both levels, with free parking for the first 15 minutes in all structures.

Two cell phone waiting lots are open for drivers waiting to pick up passengers from terminal curbs. These lots help reduce congestion around the CTA. Information on transit options such as taxis and rideshares can be found online.

For quicker passage through TSA checkpoints, travelers are encouraged to enroll in programs like TSA Preè or Global Entry. Once airside, guests can enjoy various concessions across terminals. New offerings include Fat Sal's and Yakumi in Terminal 3, along with shopping options like Jocale jewelry and POP SOX socks.

Through March 18th, mobile orders placed via LAXOrderNow.com will receive a 25% discount using promo code: LUCKYLAX24. For those needing workspace facilities before their flights, most terminals provide areas equipped with power outlets and Wi-Fi.

Art enthusiasts can explore local art exhibits throughout the airport. Additionally, tools such as flight information maps, parking reservations, dining guides, lost-and-found services, virtual assistance via AskLAX, an LAX helpline, and a construction hotline are available for traveler convenience.
