Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) has expanded its retail and dining options with the opening of new outlets in Terminal 3 and Bradley West Gates. Among the new additions are Fat Sal's, a well-known L.A. sandwich shop, and Yakumi, a fast-casual sushi concept. These locations mark the first airport ventures for both Los Angeles-based restaurants.

David Jones, Deputy Executive Director for Commercial Development at LAWA, expressed enthusiasm about these openings: "Los Angeles is home to truly unique combinations of retail and dining experiences that you won't find anywhere else, so we are thrilled to have Fat Sal's, Yakumi and Jocale join us in sharing these experiences with our guests to enjoy at LAX."

The new concessions reflect LAWA and URW's commitment to diverse participation through the LAX concessions program. Each business includes ownership by an Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) partner. The U.S. Department of Transportation sets eligibility standards for ACDBE certification.

Maral Matossian, URW General Manager at LAX, highlighted the importance of offering variety: "Our guests value choice and convenience, and we're excited to welcome Fat Sal's, Yakumi, and Jocale to deliver iconic local flavors and new options across our terminals."

Fat Sal's offers oversized sandwiches and comfort food classics in Terminal 3 from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m., while Yakumi serves traditional Japanese dishes from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m.

In Bradley West Gates, travelers can visit Jocale for luxury jewelry selections or POP SOX for vibrant socks. Both stores operate daily from 5 a.m. until midnight.
