Some U.S. airports are now offering fitness facilities within their terminals, providing health-conscious travelers and frequent flyers with options to stay fit while waiting for their flights. Five major U.S. airport hubs have implemented these amenities, allowing passengers to exercise, stretch, or relax.

San Francisco International Airport (SFO) has been a pioneer in this area since 2012 when it introduced the first yoga room at an airport. "SFO was the first airport to introduce a yoga room in 2012," reports Orbitz. Today, SFO offers two yoga rooms and a fitness studio operated by ROAM Fitness with gym equipment available for travelers.

Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) provides a premium fitness experience through its Hilton Athletic Club located within the Hilton Hotel connected to the airport. "The Hilton Athletic Club at O'Hare is fully equipped with cardio machines, free weights, a lap pool, and even a sauna," notes The Points Guy.

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) features a designated yoga studio in Terminal D and an innovative walking path encouraging physical activity among passengers during layovers. As FinanceBuzz states, "The walking path is part of DFW's commitment to offering healthier options for passengers."

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) offers the ROAM Fitness gym in Concourse D. According to Holiday Extras, "ROAM Fitness offers a full-service gym experience" complete with cardio machines and strength training equipment.

Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) promotes fitness through indoor walking paths and an onsite health club at the InterContinental Hotel connected to the terminal. Business Travel Life highlights that MSP's walking paths encourage physical activity among travelers.

These airports demonstrate a growing trend toward incorporating wellness facilities into travel experiences.
