Ethiopian Airlines has been awarded the Four-Star Global Airline accolade at the 2025 APEX Passenger Choice Awards. This recognition emphasizes the airline's commitment to maintaining high service standards for passengers traveling to over 140 international destinations. Ethiopian Airlines, a SKYTRAX four-star global airline, views this award as an affirmation of its customer-focused service.

"We are truly honored to receive the prestigious ‘Four-Star Global Airline’ title once again," said Mr. Mesfin Tasew, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group. "This award underscores Ethiopian Airlines’ determination to uphold the highest levels of service. We are thrilled to have our efforts recognized once more, motivating us to strive for even greater achievements."

The APEX Five Star and Four-Star Airline Awards rely on unbiased passenger feedback collected through TripIt® from Concur®, a widely used travel-organizing app. For the 2025 awards, over one million Passenger Name Record verified flights were rated by passengers across more than 600 airlines globally using a five-star scale.

These awards are also independently verified by an external auditing company. In 2025, only the top 40 airlines received the APEX Five Star designation, representing less than 7% of rated airlines. The APEX Four Star was given to the next 50 airlines worldwide, with only 8% meeting these criteria—a notable achievement for Ethiopian Airlines in the aviation industry.

Ethiopian Airlines is one of Africa’s leading carriers and has been operating successfully for seventy-eight years. It boasts a modern fleet serving over 150 domestic and international destinations across five continents. The airline is implementing its Vision 2035 strategic plan aimed at positioning it among the top 20 competitive aviation groups globally.
