Travelers from the Pacific Northwest can now access flights to Australia and New Zealand through Honolulu, thanks to a collaboration between Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines. The airlines are offering special fares starting at $390 one-way from Seattle or Portland to Auckland, New Zealand, and Sydney, Australia. These offers are available until November 21, 2024.

The travel dates for Auckland extend through April 30, 2025, while for Sydney they span February 1 through September 30, 2025. These flights must be booked on the respective airlines' websites and are subject to availability and fare restrictions.

Alex Judson, Managing Director of Partnerships and International at Alaska Airlines, stated: "With the combined network of Alaska and Hawaiian, it’s more convenient than ever for our guests in the Pacific Northwest to book a flight to Australia and New Zealand for the trip of a lifetime."

The partnership provides frequent nonstop flights from Seattle and Portland to Honolulu. From there, Hawaiian Airlines operates flights to Sydney and Auckland using its Airbus A330 aircraft. The aircraft features Premium Cabin lie-flat leather seats as well as Extra Comfort seating options.

Hawaiian Airlines has been serving Sydney since 2004 and Auckland since 2013. Their Honolulu-Sydney route is among their most traveled international routes.
